1733.0. "Question for Print Shares" by MXOC00::MANUALES () Mon Feb 03 1997 23:43
    Question:
     Hi "gurus": I have a print share on digital unix.
     My clients are PC's with WINDOWS 95 and the aplications (WinWord,
    Excel, Power Point, etc.)can't prints through the printer share,
    only spools the message:

    "File contains non-printable data."

    Note: The printer is a DEC LA75
          The printer on DEC Unix was created with lprsetup command and the
    name is lp (is a serial printer).

    I used the clsetup command for the class-queue creation, which is
    associated with lp printer. I created the print share with pwadmin
    command which is associated with the class-queue created above (the
    share and class-queue names are same)

    On clients I created the printer with the Win95 printers wizard. The
    printer model selected in this steep is DEC LA75.

     From DOS, I can print text files so I don't know what's happend from
    Win95.

    Thanks in advance / Gerardo Meza.
