My brother is a newly re-married NCP living in New Jersey. His
two children and ex_ live in MA. He asked me a question, that I
thought might be of interest to other people in this note at some
       point.
       >> I have a daughter going to college next year. She is applying
       >> for scholarships and she has asked me to fill out some forms. I
       >> do not want to tempt my x-wife with disclosing my new wife's
       >> salary. Can I leave it off without hurting my daughter's
       >> applications?
What do you think? Has anybody else gone through this from
       either side of the issue?
       ADthanksVANCE,
       Richard

| Yes, we've been through it; yes, he must report his wife's income. The
good news is that his ex-wife SHOULDN'T have any access to the forms
used--they go directly to the school--so she shouldn't be able to
    discover the amount involved.

If their situation is similar to ours, however, all the paperwork will
be for naught: all the combined incomes threw us out of any
    consideration for financial aid.

Send mail if you need more information/details.

The forms I filled out (for the last 4 years) I only had to enter
in my EX information under a certain conditions.

I think it was only enter his income if there was no divorce
agreement specifically stating what he had to pay me. If there
was an agreement I had to enter that amount (we did have it in
divorce agreement). Read everything on the form......

I am really glad it's over....

But I did not get that much money, but anything would help....
