HI,
One customer of mine use a decpc Celebris 590 with an WNT Workstation 3.51
japanese version and often the system crashes when the user open a word
document (in japanese version or english version).
The symptome are: impossible to move the mouse
The Pc reboot itself.
No entry are written in the errorlog.
The hardware configuration is: Celebris 590
bios 2.03
16MB memory (samsung simm's)
256 KB cache
540 Mb IDE disk drive
Action done: Double the memory (32 Mb 70 ns) same problem
Disable the external cache memory
Does anyone has an idea to help me....????

The only problems I've ever had with NT crashing on my Celebris 590 were all related to memory parity errors. I finally eliminated the errors by rerouting the SCSI cable away from the SIMMs and reseating all of them. | |||||
