    Hello,

I have put together an NT4.0 server to be used as a printer server for
our organization. I have setup the print queues on the server so that
the drivers for NT3.51 intel, ALPHA and Windows 95 will download to
the client if they do not already have the drivers installed. All works
well except for a problem with the win95 printer drivers for the LPS32
and LPS20. The problem is that after the Win95 client installs the
drivers for either the LPS20 or LPS32 there is no option to do duplex
and/or double sided printing. If I do properties on the printer on the
server the driver that is being used is Printserver 32 V48.3 for the
    LPS32's and Printserver 20 V48.3 for the LPS20's. I cured the LPS20
problem by replacing the driver on the server with the Printserver
turbo 20 driver. No the 95 clients have the duplex option in there
printer setups. I tried to do the same with the LPS32 but cannot find
a Printserver 32 driver anywhere on the 4.0 CD or any where else for
    that matter.

For some reason only the Windows 95 clients seem to be effected and not
the Windows NT folks with the duplex printing problem using the V48.3
versions of both drivers. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
If so, is there a work around to get duplex printing capabilities
down loading the Windows 95 LPS32 driver from a 4.0 server ? Any help
    would be greatly appreciated.

    Oh, I running on Intel.

    thanks,
    Kurt ...

| Check the Device Options tab in the Properties dialog. You may need to mark the Optional Duplex Unit (in the Installable Options frame) as installed -- I believe the default is Not Installed. -Andy | |||||

| Kurt, I have the impression this is a FAQ, but... How do you set up W95 to automatically download drivers from an NT server? I need this for a client of mine. thanks, --tor | |||||

| re -1 On the NT 4 system go to printers and right click on the relevant printer and choose properties. Then choose sharing and highlight the relevant driver in the list of alternate drivers. Then click ok, and you will be prompted for the files you need. | |||||
