I have a customer who is having a problem I can't reproduce. His users
can't change time or date.
He is running NT 4.0 SSP2 on NT Server and NT Workstations.
They belong to group- Domain User, which under Policies the Grant to is
Domain User. Now I created a dummy account under group Domain User,
with no priv's and I am able to change time or date. His users (and it
is all of them except Administrator) when they try from the task bar get
"can't set time. Change proper priv to grant time". If they try from
the control panel they don't even get the calandar or clock. If they do
it from the DOS prompt they get a required priviledge is not held by the
user. What priv needs to be set here?

Ed, there's a user rights policy called "change system time" which on
my systems defalts to [administrators, power users].

Hi bill,
We looked at that right. This is what brought up the question from the
customer. They thought all they had to do was add their group'Domain
User' to this right and they would have it. Apparently not.....
