    Hi all,

    I have a Alpha Server 1000A 5/400 installed with a TLZ09 dat tape drive
configured to the on board SCSI controller. The Bios ver is 5.23 and the
BIOS can see the tape drive at SCSI id 5.termination is ok.

But the NT 3.51 (without SP) unable to recognise the Tape Drive.
the driver used is 4mm dat tape drive.

I 've already replaced the latest driver from the web (4mmdat.sys)
(Dectape.zip) and still unable to see.

I hope someone can help me. Please

    thanks

You'd better check Service Pack 4 or 5 to see if TLZ09 support is in
there. There is almost no chance that the original 3.51 supports the
    TLZ09 out of the box.

The TLZ09 is a Sony tape drive. It uses "4mmsony.sys", not
"4mmdat.sys". It is in WNT 3.51 SP 5.

| For tape support on Windows NT see HTTP://dtb13.shr.dec.com/tapes/nttapes.htm For the TLZ09 on Windows NT V3.51 you need to use the Sony 4mm driver from Service Pack 5. Steve P. | |||||
