5707.0. "Print Manager Server Viewer in NT 4.0?" by SHRMSG::HOWARD (Ben) Mon Feb 17 1997 12:27
I searched for something on this topic and didn't find anything. Is it
possible to get something similar to the V3.51 "Print Manager" in NT
4.0? Specifically, I would like to have the ability to view queues on
remote servers without having to add the queue to my system.

In Print Manager, I can click on "Server Viewer" and bring up a list of
all the queues on a server, then pick one that I want to view. But in
NT 4.0, it appears that I have to add the queue. Since I have to
manage about 50 queues, often at a moment's notice, I am forced to stay
with NT 3.51 on one machine.

There several other people who need to do this for other sites, and
none of them had an answer.

| | Open network neighborhood, dbl click on the server you want to manage,
right click on the printer folder and create a shortcut to the desktop.
You should be able to manage the printers from the shortcut if you have
    the appropriate permissions.

| | This looks even easier than the old way. Thanks. I'll pass it on.
