| As one who is taking the "package", the decision was probably the
hardest one I've ever made. People would ask, "are you going to take
it?" and my reply would be "depends on what day and time of day you ask
me". There's alot to consider when it actually is offered.
What am I going to do, hopefully in September '91 I'll go back to
school to take the appropriate courses to get certification
for interpreting for the hearing impaired, something I've wanted to do
for the past 10 or 11 years. In the interim, take at least the month
of July off, maybe even August, potentially use some of my frequent
flyer miles if I can decide where I want to go, clean the house, do
some painting in the house, go to the beach, get together with friends,
and think about what I want to do for a job in the interim......
What won't I miss about Digital.....there isn't much as I really have
enjoyed Digital....what won't I miss about my current job...living out
of a suitcase and travelling 80% of the time (well, I might miss it a
little) and the stress associated with it. What will I miss about
Digital....the security, the people and the madness. But, it's not
like I can't ever return. I'm just really looking forward to trying
something different....first time in my 38 years I've ever taken a risk
and it feels great!!!
