    I wish I knew, but I keep asking that very same question.  Maybe
    some of the readers will come up with the why's.
    
    BTW, that man in the pizza parlor you spoke of.....well, I think
    he works right here in Tewksbury about 2 cubes over from mine.

    parlor, and a few of his relatives, are over here in Concord.

|  |     Some people have physical problems which mean that they STINK
    unless they shower every few hours.  Sad, but true.  But most
    folks have no excuse but their own laziness or bad training.
    Also, people have different thresholds of intolerance to odor.
    Americans tend to be overly paranoid about bodily odors, and
    thus tend to shower more and use more deoderizing toiletries
    than Europeans. (I'm going to get thrashed by some europeans for
    this I bet).  It's not always good for us - some folks turn
    into toxic waste dumps in order to smell like roses (or lemons
    or Old Spice).
