| | Dear Eagles,

Are tokens compressible? Particularly when the token is shared
as symbolic as a part of a human_relation? In other words, can
we take all the bulky tokens that hold the memories of our relationship
and somehow tranfer the essense of tokeness into a much smaller,
    perhaps more powerful token?

    ADVthanksANCE,
        BOBBY

Keep what you want. Keep something if if means something to you.
Don't throw it away if it's gonna bother you.... For instance,
while going thru my trunk I found pictures, love letters, memoribilia
that was from past relationships. I sat there for hours going
thru this "junk". It brought back alot of special memories of
some special people in my life. They made me smile and some things
made me laugh, some things even choked me up a little. I don't
want to throw those things out. They're special to me and until
they are no longer special they will stay in that trunk.

| | Why must you throw these tokens away? So you don't have to deal
with the pain? The pain will be there in one sense or another.
Along with the pain, there will also be fond memories. Special
moments only "you" and "she" will have shared.

If at least one of these tokens brings a smile on your face and
warms your heart, that should tell you "Maybe I'll hang on to this
    for a rainy day".

I still have a pair of lacy panties that were tossed
instead of the traditional garter belt! Boy, was I surprised!

Little momentos never fade away, they just get dusty!

| | Some tokens are very private...

    	I have a box of cards & letters & various other trinkets & gee-gaws
and I also have another box that contains mostly letters. The second
box is my "burn box" and a friend of mine has orders that if I die
unexpectedly he is to burn the box and it's contents without looking
at it. There is nothing horrible in the box, just a few memories
best kept between myself and the people who once meant the words
    on the papers...

Someday, I will burn the "burn box"...

| | I too keep things from old relationships... I have letters sent
to me, VAXmail that I have printed out and kept, old cards,...

I also have all three of the girls first tooth they lost, a lock
of their hair, their first paper they brought home from kindergarten..
sometimes, its nice to just look back upon memories, and live a
    special moment all over again...

If I threw any of it out, I couldn't do that, now could I???
