I have to agree with one aspect of Bob's reply... getting out of
the tube world and getting involved in some one on ones with people
that don't know a keyboard from a modem can be VERY refreshing and
    bring ya back to reality..

I like both worlds but as of late have realized that unless I want
to turn into a total computer nerd it is time to divide my time
    up a little more evenly!

| | Karen, I think they're referring to Davo's announcement of a
series of "network fantasies" in note 79.

I'm beginning to think Bob may have started another good note.
I spend a lot of time on the computer and the network and it has
been quite interesting and helpfull. I do, though, enjoy the
other real world. These files help me stay in touch with the
company I (though I sometimes forget) work for. I spend 40+
hours a week at an IBM shop working on a VAX 8600 which sits in
their old printer paper storage room. Over the last two and 1/2
years at DEC, I've spent maybe 2 weeks in what I could really call
my own office. We, in the field do tend to loose contact with
the one who signs our checks and it is comforting to know there
is someone around who is not the customer.

I'm still looking for the sun
