| Was the Copper Kettle doing lots of business when it was open, or was business
down considerably? From here, it looks like they were a victim of the Mill
closing, like most of the other failed businesses in downtown Maynard.

| I spoke to one of the former waitresses. She said that business had
been going down hill for a while and that patrons were complaining
about higher prices.

| At last night's Selectmen's meeting, The Kettle got it's common
victualler's license (which means they can sell food) and they
plan on opening up on Saturday morning.
This is a completely different restaurant, with new owners (from
Newton Center) and a new menu. Only the name is the same.
I think this is GREAT news for downtown!

| I don't know what happened to delay the opening, but it finally
happened.
In other news:
The Selectmen are meeting tonight with the owners of another
restaurant, The Boston Bean House, that will be opening soon
in the former Boucher Cosmetique location at Main and Nason.
