| | Hi Jean-Denis,
It's been a couple of years since the base note.
I'm not sure where the patch is at the moment. Have you previously had
access to the patch and since lost it? I was wondering how your
customer has managed to use IP/X.25 for so long without the patch.
Thanks,
Matt.

I don't remember, but i imagine that Graham had provided it to me at the
epoch, but i don't remember where i've store it. I can only found one:
#sum x25_ip.o.mips.Z
36244 57
that looks like to the same in oils::/public/x25_patch/ip
The problem occures to the customer site since 1 week, and i don't know
why from now. they use their DS5000-133 since two years as an IP gateway
to the X25 public network
The customer crash is identique to notes X25_OSF #314 and fixed by
 oils:/public/x25_patch/ip/x25_ip.o.osf.102
Thanks for your help,
Jean-Denis

| | Hi Jean-Denis,
OK, it seems we have to either find the patch or create a new one.
I'd like to take the easiest path....
Firstly, have you been in contact with TIMA/STARS? Hopefully,
this patch was registered and a TIMA/STARS article exists which
describes where to find the patch.
If you can't find it this way, then I think we will have to try to
recreate it for you. There is a big issue with doing this. Firstly,
the ULTRIX code has just been outsourced to EDS, unfotunately, they
won't be in a position to rebuild the patch for quite some time yet.
So, for a slightly faster solution, I will attempt to rebuild the patch.
However, I know this well take me a week or more to get to, just because
I have so much else on my plate at the moment.
Well, I hope you can uncover the patch in TIMA/STARS, but let me know
either way.
Regards,
Matt.

I can't find any TIMA/STARS article describing this problem on ULTRIX
Can you give me where the patch is ?
regards,
Jean-Denis

As I said in .5, I will have to recreate it. This
will take a week or so for me to get to.
Matt.
