Hi,
my customer has the following problem:
AXP 1000A with 1 x FDDI
VMS 6.2 1H3
DECnet/OSI 6.3-6
X.25 1.0G
DECNIS 3.1-2 or DEMSA with X.25 Gateway 500 v1.0.28 (same problem with both
gateways)
!
Sometimes, the connection is getting lost and due to the retry mechanism
of the remote systems (some lottery- or bookie's terminals) a new SVC
is created, but the application is able to handle only one SVC at the same
time --> manual intervention necessary (delete x25 access port)
With PhaseIV-VAXes, VMS 5.5-2 (and Ethernet) via the same gateways there is
no problem!
The problem is not reproducible, but the customer has been able to catch
this situation (traces are appended).
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Both traces show the first block being transmitted synchronously
(71 58 .., some quote block from a race track). The time difference of
46,5 min arises from a wrong time on the NIS.
The second block is from a cash desk on another channel
Then, channel 2 loses connection without a CLEAR,...
The next quote block from the race track (2A 50..) and from the cash desk
(03 5A) don't arrive at the host (VWZ1)
