Saw this over the weekend, being a Quentin fan. The only
similarities between this and True Romance was a vaguely
similar ending.
Similarities between this and Pulp? A guy named Zed.
Mediocre, but worth a rental if you're tired of seeing
Reservoir Dogs over and over and over ...

| Remember that Quentin did not write, nor direct this film. He and
Lawrence Bender were the Executive Producers.
It certainly wasn't Pulp Fiction, True Romance or Resevoir Dogs, but
I'll Killing Zoe over many of the movies that hit the theaters and
videos nowadays.

P.S. Jean-Hugues Anglade played in one of my favorite all time
movies... Luc Besson's "La Femme Nakita".

Jean-Hugues Anglade was terrific in this. I liked it quite
a bit too.

| I thought this movie was great. Better than True Romance and Reservoir
Dogs. But not better than Pulp Fiction!
I liked the way the French guy seemed nice at first, and gradually
turned out to be more and more of an *sshole! Normally I would not
like that type of thing in a movie, but this one was just different
somehow.
Another (slight) similarity to Pulp Fiction:
In Pulp Fiction, Vince (while under the influence of Heroin) sees
a dotted line appear in thin air where Umma Thurman's character drew a
square with her fingers.
In Killing Zoe, the safecracker guy (while under the influence of
Heroin) see musical notes floating out of the intruments that the band
at the nightclub are playing.
As to why it was called Killing Zoe, I think it's totally obvious,
(and an EXCELLENT title).
Spoiler warning... if you don't want the ending spoiled, DON'T READ
PAST THE FORM FEED!!
It was called Killing Zoe, because Zoe did the killing at the end of
the movie which saved the day. It's a play on words.

hmmm... I never took it that way... i.e., that Vince was seeing a dotted
line square due to heroin... I took it as just part of the film and it's
offbeat jokes...

yeah ...the dotted line thing was done in an episode of the
Flintstones too. The teenagers used to do it in the episode
where Fred was a rock singer.
There's a town I know where the hipsters go..called bedrock..twist,
twist!! :))))

killing Zoe is a poor attempt at a market currently ruled by Tarantino.
Its no where near as good anything Tarantino has made.I had heard so
many good things about this movie and was very diappointed.

Just saw this one last night.
The movie had the Tarentino flavour, but I found the drug crazed
night a bit slow and drawn out. I would have liked to see Zoe a lot
more.

the title, in my opinion, is significant because its when the druggy
friend tries to kill Zoe that Zed rebels and this saves his life.
Zoe is the key.
