Has anyone seen/heard about the film 'STALINGRAD'.
I saw an advertisement for video release at the end of August and
wondered if it is any good.
It is a German made film from the same people who made 'Das Boot'
so could be OK.

I saw it at the Cork International Film Festival last Fall. Quite
good, I thought. Where is it being release on video? It never had a
theatrical release in the U.S. to my knowledge.
BTW, it was made by the producers of "Das Boot", I believe, but not by
the director Wolfgang Pederson. I'll try to remember to check the
festival program when I get home.

It is being released on video here in the UK on the 27 August I think.
It has been Dubbed, rather than subtitled, but a good job has been done
I have been told, If a good job can be done that is!.

Directed by Joseph Vilsmair. 150 minutes in the original release.
Did it ever get a theatrical release in the UK? I haven't heard any
mention of it whatsoever in the U.S.
