Saw this Saturday Night.....and we loved it!
I'm not a huge John Candy fan but he was not his usual obnoxious self
here. I enjoyed the other lead character (sorry forgot his name) and
really believed he was an Olympic runner.
We laughed through most of the movie and some of them were bust-a-gut
laughs too.
Its the story of 3 track runners, sprinters, and a friend who try out
for the 1988 winter Olympics Bobsled competition. I'm not really
giving any of the story away since it is based on a true story.
Definitly worth 1st run movie prices.
4 out of 5

Hmm... I had feared that this movie would not live up to its
potential. Maybe I can do the bargain matinee...

Saw it over the weekend... I wouldn't call it a 'must see' but it did seem to be pretty good. Nice, light entertainment. Lee | |||||

Definitly go for the matinee price Greg!
And like most comedies it could translate well onto vdeo but the
background scenery of both Jamacia and Canada are fabulous - especailly
when they showed the Olympic village all lit up at night.....

Watched it on tape the other night with my SO. He loves reggae, so
that did it for him, and I thought the ending was very touching.
