I saw it, I didn't expect much, and I liked it. Not "I'll dash out to
see this again" liked it, but for a movie based on a video game, it
wasn't bad.
And it does answer the question of what Mario and Luigi's last name is.

ET said last night that Super Mario Brothers, the movie, is
actually a prequel to the video game. Of course we all know
the game came first.
