Given likely product futures I posted notes 743-747 here -- but
is this really appropriate ? Should I take these questions
elsewhere (if so, any suggestions) ?

You might get faster responses if you send OEM questions directly to helpsmp. Nearly all the developers, managers, product managers, support, etc. monitor that. The only developers who monitor this notes file are expert developers. | |||||

I hadn't thought to look for that -- thanks !
By the way the contents of most of the popular sendmail lists
within Oracle, including helpsmp, are available from a web-based,
chronological repository with keyword searches (that work!) at:
http://www-tools.us.oracle.com/cgi-bin/webmenu?mail
They also archive the ORACLE-L listserv here. I have asked them
to include ORACLERDB-L (just now) which they will hopefully add
(so you don't have to retain all of that in your puny Oracle*Office
allocation).
