| | There is another sickness that you can get from any pet bird. I will
usualy kill the bird unfourtunatly within two weeks unless picked up
right away by the oaner. And it can be very harmfull to people if not
treated soon. I don't know the exact term or word but as soon as I
find out I will let you know.

| | Hi it's ZEKE::KING again, I talked to my girlfriend about what other
sicknesses you can get from a bird. Her answer was basickly parot fev.
If you do catch this from your bird you will get flu like sym. As I
said befor it can be deadly for humans if not treated right away. When
you take your baby in to the doctors to be checked out, make sure you
tell him/her that you do have a pet bird. If you don't tell them that
there diagnosis of your childs sickness may not right. Parot Fever
does not just show up on there regular tests. And must be looked for
sepretly. The reason I know anything about this is because I have a
Rainbow Lory. And my girlfriend has a blue front. Plus my girlfriend
studies the fields of Marine Biology, Animal Biology, and studies the
illnesses and diesases of animals all day long.

| | Thank you for your reply...My doctor is the one who told me to take the
birds out of her room...maybe it is an allergic reaction...she has
    gotten
much better since they were moved....but the dr. made it sound like
something other than parrot fever....I had many birds before...parrots,
cockatiels, and budgies...but I was just wondering...I thik I will look
at my bird info about parrot fever.....thank you......mary
