Just a lttle tip for those who are breeding. I had a pair that had
successfully mated three times, then they had two clutches that
were not fertile. I went to a bird show and started asking around
to see if anyone else had the problem. Finally ran into a person
that said - his feathers around the vent may be too thick.
Well -- we went home a did a trimming job and now we have fertile
eggs (due to hatch in 7 days). I would have never thought of that
one!!
