There seems to be a run of yeast infections...at least
I know of 3 birds that have them.
The remedy is not too bad, diagnosing was a b*&%$!
Anyway the guess is that Av got it from either water or
food that was left in his bowl too long. I suspect that this
will be less of a problem now that the weather is cooling off.
Symptoms were loss of feathers on the legs, general
listlessness, loss of strength...
However, after 2 weeks of pumping 3cc's of medicine
down his throat 3 times a day, he is almost back to his
obnoxious self again....
Many thanks to Pat Walz for her "long distance" diagnoses
and suggestions...she missed a wonderful calling when she
decided to become a computer jock instead of a Vet!
