I have Yellow Nape Amazon about 4-5 years old. He has this unfortunate
habit of falling off his perch during the night. He seems ok, after
he falls, he just climbs back up again and goes back to sleep.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm glad we're not alone! We have 2 conures. Usually one
or the other will be sleeping, then for no reason falls
off the perch. No damage done, just climbs back up, too.
All that flapping gets me a little startled...
pat :-)

I have a double yellow that does this once in awhile. Not a fun way to
wake up in the middle of the night. 8-) He's never been hurt in this
manner...except maybe his pride.

P.S My cockatiels have done this as well but that may be because they
were startled and they all go into a flap.
