I hope someone can answer my question...I have 4 four month
old zebra finches (all male) and I would like to start breeding
them but am not sure at what age I can start. I was thinking of
doing it in February when they are 6 months old. Does anyone have
any knowledge of this? I would really appreciate it and sometimes
the pet stores just don't give you information that has too much
"backing" if you know what I mean.

    Thank you in advance.

| If you want to breed Zebras, you need some hens! ;^} Usually, zebras
are ready about 3 months of age. I know it's early. I'd hold off till
6 months too. But they must be the easiest to breed! All you gotta do
is get a hen, one male per hen, and a covered wicker nest and some
nesting material. They do the rest. One day you'll see eggs, then
about 11 - 14 days later you see little faces! 3 weeks more and you
have little "finch bullets" flying around! they are so sweet and the
experience is second to none, but zebra's in particualr are *VERY*
    prolific! Have at it!
