| | Is this a welded wire cage?

if it is the best way so far for me has been to attach 2 cup hooks
to the top, place the box so that the nest hole lines up with the hole
cut into the cage. I line the hole with plastic edgeing, but I do
not have birds that eat plastic so you may try some metal flashing
around the edge. also I set up a door with cage clips that can
    be closed and wired shut.

| | Could someone provide the proper dimensions for a nest box for a pair
of american budgies? Also does it matter what kind of wood is used? My
father-in-law is a woodworker and would build one for me but I need
this info. He has acces to birch and pine. Also, has Bird Talk or one
of the other mags ever printed schematics for nesting boxes for
budgies...if so I would love to get a copy of the article through
interoffice mail if someone would go through the trouble...

| | Hi MRS. B,

Note 789 talks about an auction this Saturday, where you can probably
pick up a next box for around $4-6. Also I beleive my club is having an
auction next Wednesday, I will post the detail tomorrow.

If you can't make these Auctions or are set on having your father in
law build it, I could loan you the one I have to have him copy. Drop me
a Email note if you want to borrow it.

    Doug
