Well, I finally did it. I bought the 'perfect' yellow nape.
He's under 2 years, friendly, calm and beautiful coloring!
We'll be bringing him home tonight. The breeder/dealer we bought
him from said he has very good show qualities.
In my long search for this bird I never considered showing it.
Mostly because I don't know anything about showing birds.
Which comes to my questions....what are the standard operating
procedures for showing a bird?? Is there a particular size of
cage that the bird has to be in? How do I find out about shows
and how to enter?
I have not made a decision on whether or not I want to do this,
but I am interested in finding out what the necessary procedures
are first before I make any decisions.
Thanks for any responses!
Juliette

There are MANY requirements, restrictions, classes etc.. for
showing birds. Your best bet is to join your local Cage Bird
Association. They probably sponser one or two of the shows
in your area. That is where you want to get your information.
