| | Dawn,
Well, I was a bit surprised to see Jenna listed just after your comment about
the N's... But, I do like it - pronounced JEN-na - and it does go well with
Marie. At first, it sounded like a double N - Jenna Nelson, but after saying
it a few times, it sounded fine.
Michaela is very pretty and sounds good with Nelson (and complements Elisabeth).
I would also wonder about how tough it would be to pronounce/spell, but if you
like it enough, this is surmountable (just get used to correcting people).
Kayla is nice and actually sounds like a shortened version of Michaela, but
is obviously simpler. I think I like this one the best of your choices.
RE: nicknames for Theresa - Therese is one I use with a friend of mind who
never goes by Terry...
A few other ideas:
	McKenzie Marie Nelson
	Sheila Marie Nelson
	Alicia Marie Nelson
	Cassandra Marie Nelson
	Jamie Lynne Nelson
	Tamara Lynne Nelson
	Mariel Theresa Nelson
Best of luck in the decision!
-Cori
p.s. I like Jeffrey Philip Nelson a lot!

| | Thanks Cori.

Well, Kayla is out. My husband thought is was definitely too
different. Maybe it could be a nickname for Michaela. Hmmm...

    The search continues...

| | My mind was made up years ago when my mom told me that my middle name
was to be Kayla after my great grandmother, who was a very good freind
of hers. When me father put his foot down, I ended up with no middle
name. That in itself was unique, let alone my name which I always
thought was unique. (My name is Roseann, yes that is the correct
spelling. It comes from both sides of the family. Rose from the great
grandmother that had the name Kayla and Ann from my fathers aunt.)

When I told my husband that I would really like to name a girl Kayla he
agreed that it was a beautiful name. Our first son was born on
11/12/88 and his name is Grady Adam Wright IV (we call him Adam). That
was easy enough we continued with the tradition.

Now our daughter who is due on July 23, (planned cescarean sp?) has
been harder to come up with a name. I still love the name Kayla
(eventhough it is more popular than I would like it to be).

Funny story, 2 years ago when my grandmother died we were cleaning out
her personal things and found a Katba. That is a marraige agreement
from the old country. In the agreement the name was not Kayla, but
Bayla. My mom thought that was strange since that called her Racha
    Kayla.

To confuse me even more I recently found out that my mother-in-law,
whose name is Catherine (but, everyone calls her Helen) original name
from the Ukraine was Kalina. I really thought that was a pretty name
also, but I was afaid of it being shortened to Kally. I prefer not to
have a name shortened. If I wanted the name the child Kally then that
is what I would have put on the birth certificate.

ALright I'll get to the point, The name will be Kayla but I am having
a terrible time with the middle name. I am jewish and really do not
like Marie, which does go well with Kayla, but is a derivitive of Mary
which is an absolute no in my book.

     Could anyone help?

    Thanks Roseann Wright

I like both Michaela and Theresa Lynne. Michaela is not used too
often, but my sister took it as a middle name (for confirmation)
about 20 years ago (after Michael the Archangel). She like the
strength of the name. As a first name, however, you will probably
be dealing with a nickname. Mickie might be considered - I don't
know how you would like that. Also, as you suggested, Kayla could
    be used.

Theresa would be a more traditional name, but both go with Lynne
as a middle name in my opinion.

| 867.5 | What about Kiley? | RINGER::WALTER | used to be Aquilia | Thu Apr 15 1993 11:39 | 10 |
| | Well I went to school with a Michaela and loved the name then but
have mixed feelings about it. I don't think its that unusual however.
Isn't that how names get started anyways? Someone has got to the
    "first" one.

Kayla is pretty but I prefer Kiley. Just MHO however.

Another nickname for Theresa is Tess.

I like Tess by itself too. A friend has that picked out if she ever
has a girl (she's expecting her second boy in August who will be named
    Spencer).

    Good Luck!

| | My neice's name is MiKayla - I think it's a very pretty name and not
terribly common. But - she usually gets called Miki, and this could
easily turn into Miki (Mickey) Mouse by schoolmates! I think my sister
would have prefered the nickname of Kayla for her daughter, but Miki
seems to have stuck! Anyway, I do like the name alot and if you like
Kayla, it could easily be shortened to that!
