I am due May 15 with our second child, we have a girls name picked out,
but have been going back and forth with a boys.
Our daughters name is Katlyn Joy (Joy after my family where the first
daughter born has that middle name - I have it and so does my Mom). My
husbands name is James Dale - we wanted to use his name for this child,
boy or girl. What do you think...
Boys:
Ryan James Vincent
Tyler James Vincent
Girls:
Jordan Dale Vincent
Robin

Sorry about the subjet - I hit a couple of keys accidently and then
couldn't figure out how to get back and correct it.
I also wanted to see (an after thought) if anybody knew the meanings of
these names.
Thanks
Robin

Hi Robin,
I think it is a cleaver way to use your husband's name for either
a boy or a girl. I like both boy's names, although Katlyn and Ryan
seem to match the best. Jordan Dale matches well with Katlyn, too.
Best of luck to you.
Chris

Robin, Well, I like the names you listed, but have a couple of general comments. Do you mind if the two names end with the "in" sound? As in: Katlyn/Ryan/ Jordan/Robin... Some people prefer it, but usually I think it sounds bet- ter to have a different, yet complementary name. Like: Katlyn/Sean/Jenna. It's hard, though, because so many good names end in the "in" sound! Shannon, Erin, Lauren, Stephen, Nathan, Evan, etc. etc. How about: Patrick James Vincent, Connor James Vincent, or Bradley James Vincent? Secondly, I see Jordan Dale as very unisex, since either name could be for a boy or a girl. Usually I think it sounds better to make one of the names obviously female for a girl, to balance it. Maybe Jenna Dale or Dale Jessica or Courtney Dale or Valerie Dale? Just my opinion, of course. Good luck deciding, -Cori | |||||
