| I have seen the name Clint before, but never Klint. On the other
hand, why not. There already are: Katherine and Catherine
Christine and Kristine, Karen and Caren. Clint and Klint follow
the same pattern.

| I agree with .1 These days unusual spellings of names are popular with
many people. If you are comfortable with it, then use it. There is
always the possibility that others will assume it is spelled with a "C"
but that can happen with any name.
If it would bother you to have to correct other's spelling, then
perhaps a different name beginning with a "K" would make you more
comfortable.

| Personally, I prefer "conventional" spellings, although we named our son
Marc, rather than Mark. A purely arbitrary decision. My husband
wasn't completely thrilled with the name in the first place, so I let
him pick the spelling. Marc will probably spend his whole life
correcting people. Oh, well.

Marc is the French spelling or equivalent of Mark, I think.
So, it's not exactly a made-up spelling of the name and is
an easily-recognizable and often-interchanged spelling, so I
don't think he'll have too much trouble.

I'm a Marc and haven't had much trouble at all. I'm called Marc
which is short for Marcel - my middle name.
