| | I think a most masculine name for the little fellow would be ATTILLA.
    (pronounced at-TILL-ah [accent on the middle syllable] or, in some
    cases at-TEAL-ah, as in the blue-winged teal, which is a really lovely
    little duck). If he should later decide on a sex change, CAITLIN CAHILL has
     a
    nice
    ring to it.

    Regards,
    Kublai Khan Jacunski

| | Then there's Caopectate Cahill and Anthill Cahill and Bill K. Cahill
    and Millard Cahill.

|  |     Rick,

    I think if the little bundle of joy opts for a sex change, he/she
    should really consider the name Kaylee as opposed to Caitlin.

    Seriously, though, help me think of something for real...

| | I kinda like the sound of Kevin Cahill....

    Other suggestions (I'm assuming they like "popular" names since
    they have a Justin) are Ryan, Andrew, and Steven.

| | O.K... I just talked to my girlfriend and she's informed me that
    her husband has nixed Kendall. So, folks, that means we need TWO
    names.  I've suggested:

    Elizabeth Ann Cahill (Marianne's mom's name is Ann Elizabeth)

    Jackson ??? Cahill

    What do you folks think?

| 575.7 | Grandparents' names? | KYOA::CHANG |  | Thu Aug 16 1990 09:10 | 13 |
|  |     I like Elizabeth Ann for a girl.  If they decide on Elizabeth _ _ _,
    there are a lot of other middle names to go with it. What's the
    husband's mother's name? Sometimes a combination of the two
    grandmothers' names sounds good together.

    Same thing goes with the two grandfathers' names for a son if they
    are still having a hard time with that name.

    I don't particularly like Jackson though.

| 575.8 | An uncommon/common name! | STEREO::FAHEL | Amalthea Celebras | Thu Aug 16 1990 09:25 | 10 |
| | I love the name Elizabeth. The best thing about the name is, although
    the name is very popular, there are DOZENS of nicknames! I know an
    Elizabeth-Beth, an Elizabeth-Betsy, an Elizabeth-Betty, and
    Elizabeth-Lizzie, a plain Elizabeth, etc. etc.

    Although Ann is a lovely middle name, I agree with Chris (.7), but only
    if the other grandmother's name goes well with Elizabeth. If its
    something like Hortense...(no offense to all the Hortense's out there)

| 575.9 | Steven Andrew Cahill - 8/24/90 | SAGE::MACDONALD_K |  | Fri Aug 24 1990 11:53 | 12 |
| | Carol & Chris: You *BOTH* win the prize!!! When I told my friends
    Marianne and Tim the suggestions here, the name Steven clicked
    immediately - also Andrew. So... when their little boy was born
    this morning at 8:30, they named hime Steven Andrew Cahill. I just
    spoke with Tim and he wanted me to thank all of you for your input -
    especially Carol - for coming up with both names. Oh and Chris -
    Adam was a close second. I think you suggested that one too, correct?

    Anyway, thanks everyone, from two very happy parents.

    - Kathryn
