By the way I am having a baby due in the end of June but haven't
really seen any names that jump up at me yet.

| | I think Cheryl is a pretty name, and one that is not used so much
now. I have friends who named their daughter Cheryl Renee. She
will be two in April. It's nice to hear different names, even if
they were not so different when I was a kid. I think Cheryl was
    a little more common then.

| | Cheryl was a bit on the common side when I was a kid in the 50's
and 60's. There were only 70 kids in my high school graduating
class and two of them were named Cheryl (in 1967).

I like the name Renee and that has never been common. It's my
daughter's middle name, too. (Melissa Renee)

| | I agree, my name is Cheryl Lynne (I think the e is a nice touch!)

My parents have always used the nickname Cheri, which is of course
french for dear. I was born in the mid 60's and I've met very few
people my age with the same name. It's nice to have a name that's
not too common but also not too strange. I know too many people
who are embarassed by the "unique" names their creative parents
    gave them.
