What do you think of the name Christelle'? It's pronounced like
the name Estelle. Some people think it sounds too much like Crystal
(Dynasty - yuk!) I myself don't think so.
I'm thinking of naming my first baby girl that. I think I made
it up. I have never heard of it before.
Of course people will call her Chris, which is okay with me. That
is a pretty name.

My opinion is that I like Christelle, but I don't like Chris.
It is such a long name and you just know she will be nicknamed Chris.
I think if you don't mind her being called Chris, then go for it!

I like the name...but I'd pre-nickname her Elle' so that the likelihood
of Chris as a nickname would become slim.

I like the name Christelle. It sound feminine and pretty. You
might try the name Christelle Eve. I had a friend that named her
little baby Christine Eve because she was born on Christmas Eve,
but unfortunately premature and she didn't make it.
But I do like the nickname Elle, like that fashion magazine ELLE,
and that model Elle McPherson. Try for Christelle though, because
I've known quite a few people that keep their whole names like
Michael, Cynthia, William just to name a few.
