    Does that help?

| | How about 'Stacie Elaine?'
    You tend not to get nicknames when you're named Stacie, well sometimes
    Stace, 'Cie, or Stacileenie (you know how relatives get...)

    Stacie Karen
    (Named after aunt-Karen Elaine)

| 127.9 | we're honing in on names -- thanks for the input | RABBIT::HABER | kudos to working mothers of toddlers | Tue Oct 06 1987 11:46 | 13 |
| | right now we're leaning toward shoshona e...... or samuel etan
    [or ethan, if i can talk my husband into it]. we're still working
    on the female middle name; i've come up with eden or elissa or,
    of course, elisabeth. I'm also trying to talk him into Shosha instead
    of the full shoshona, but that will be our 'pet' name for her anyway.
     I also like Sami for a girl; that will be the boy's nickname anyway.

    will know any day what it'll be -- am due on the 21st, but this
    is my 2nd so who knows? right now we have to figure out what to
    do for the birth announcement -- we designed my son's and will probably
    do the same this time.

| 127.10 | Shoshona Eve? | SHRBIZ::KULP |  | Tue Oct 06 1987 14:05 | 6 |
| | How about Eve for a middle name? I have always thought it was
    a pretty name. And it seems to go well with the longer version
    of the name you're considering.

| 127.11 | Celeste | GENRAL::WOOD | Celeste Wood | Thu Oct 08 1987 13:27 | 8 |
| | I'm partial to my own name ... Celeste
    The origin is french or spanish depending who you talk to.
    I prefer to think of it as latin. My parents found it in a
    book of saints' names.
    It means 'heavenly' like celestial.

    You'll probably have a boy though since the majority of
    suggestions are girls names.

| 127.12 | Celeste is very pretty! | CLOVAX::SARANITA |  | Fri Oct 16 1987 12:35 | 12 |
|  |     re  -1

    I like Celeste too, I knew a girl in high school named Celeste and
    she was very pretty and very nice and I guess we associate names
    with people we know who have them (like for instance, I don't like
    the name Jessica because of someone I know with it)

    speaking of association, Shosha reminds me of a Siberian Husky I
    know.

| 127.13 | Shaina Elise is here! | RABBIT::HABER | kudos to working mothers of toddlers | Sat Dec 05 1987 16:45 | 8 |
|  |     Shaina Elise arrived Oct. 25, 1987, at 6:51AM, weighing in at 6
    lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inches. We're all thrilled with her -- she's
    a 'good' baby (i.e. sleeps a lot!!). Big brother Jaime is so proud
    and helpful -- hope it lasts!

    thanks for all your suggestions and comments.

    Carrying on from an earlier note, my sister's name is Stacey, and
    although she's sometimes called Stace she doesn't get many nicknames
    ... except for her singing teacher, who calls her Anastasia (which is
    the longer version of the name).
