| | Marie, a derivation of Mary, probably the all time most often used
female name since Christianity (maybe even before, just think of
all the Mary's mentioned in the New Testament, Mary Magdalen, Mary
    and Martha, etc.).

    To quote George M. Cohen
"My Mother's name was Mary .... It's a grand old name"

Not only a name of religious significance, it is such a pretty name
and almost impossible to contort into something ugly as so many
kids do when teasing others (my name is Peggy and boy what kids
    did to that growing up).

| | Don't feel bad. My name is Dawnne Therese, which I think is pretty
rare (only heard of two others but all spelled Dawn). I have never
heard of anyone using Therese which sounds like Theresa without
the "a". I like the name although this is the first time I really
thought about it. I used to think it was boring when I was a kid
because everyone had nicnames and Dawnne can't get any shorter.

In high school I got my wish of having a nicname. It was Shortie,
    (I'm only 5 feet tall.)

| | The woman in the office next to me goes by Thrse
(if you have a VT100, that's Therese, with accents
on each e), which was originally her middle name.
She pronounces it the French way, as Ter-ez.

| | One of my very best friends' name is Marie Alice. Her parents are
    French and pretty religious.
If it helps to "ease the pain", Marie, I named all my dollies "Marie"
    when I was little.
I've gotten a little off-the-track since then, though.

| | My sister's names are Ann (first name) and Marie (middle name) or
so it appears. She doesn't have a middle name and her first name
is 'Ann Marie'. You should see the look on her face when she gets
Driver's licences, etc. which list her as Ann M. Lewis. Ann and
Marie were great grandmothers on my mom's side. My mom is Katherine
    Anne.

| | My name is Marie Therese.. never cared much for the Marie as a first
name. Can't get a nickname from it. Marie is (was?) an often used
middle name since it goes so well with most female names.

def; WARREN: 1.An area where rabbits live in burrows.
                 2.Any overcrowded place of habitation.

Given the aforementioned definition, 'MT Warren' implies
either an empty rabbit hole (empty warren) OR
    an empty overcrowded place (Oxymoron?)

| | My Mother gave me the name Marie because--

o it was her Mother's name
o you can't make a nickname out of it (Mom hates nicknames)

Personally, I love the way "Marie Elizabeth" sounds...just got luck :)
