Acronyms:
Further to the previous note.....
My wife is Filipino and her name is ARBI unusual you may say, and
in my opinion not unattractive as a name. Actually its an acronym
of her grandparents. It goes like this:
Antero - Granfather 1
Ricardo - Grandfather 2
Barbara - Grandmother 1
Inez - Grandmother2
Original Hey? Or is it? Has anyone come across this technique for
creating names before? The mind boggles what she could have been
named though:
BRIA, ABRI, RIAB BRAI
Richard Briggs
UK SWAS
PS This is not a nickname, she is actually christened MARIA ARBI.

Well, I know a Bria (pronounced Bree-a), but I don't think it was
an acronym--I'll have to ask her!!

This is my first attempt at this, so be patient...
My brother once dated a girl from Vermont and her name
was Charlda (pronounced Sharlda). It was a combination
of her two grandfathers' names...Charles and David. I
think it's nice!

I like the technique and thought you would like to know my own
I take places of the world in which I have been and loved
and sometimes with slight variations use them for names
Examples: Chynna China
Capri Capri Island
Austi Austi, Italy
