Hi there! I wanted to catch up on this file before entering my name. Since I have done so, here goes: My name is Terza. It is mentioned in the Bible exactly once, in Numbers 36:11. Actually, I've seen many spellings of it, Tierzah, being the most used. My mother shortened it, because she thought the original name was too long for such a small baby. I've never met anyone else with it, 'though I have seen it in a cemetery... I saw it in a large book of names (sorry, don't remember the title) and it was defined as "cypress tree." (By the way, it's pronounced as though it were still the long version...)

Yes, I agree.
I found Terza in my baby book. It's a variation of Tertia and it
means "third child" It states it as Latin.

When I was in Italy, the person running whatever hostel or pension that I was staying at would always exclaim, "Terza! So you're Italian?" I always shook my head, more amused than anything else. Since my mother shortened it from Tierzah, I had always likened it to Tirzah, rather than Terza, at least because of its pronunciation. Does anyone have any idea what the other two mean? Terza | |||||
