1177.0. "Thrillseekers Book Club - Any Interest???" by ASDG::FOSTER (Like a Phoenix Rising) Wed Oct 13 1993 09:54
I've already cross-posted this note in other files, but I
thought I'd bring it here and see if anyone is interested. However,
I want to make it clear, this is not STRICTLY "SF".

I just finished reading Michael Crichton's book "Rising Sun". And I
would LOVE to get together with a group of people to discuss it. Most
of the book clubs that I'm a member of though, focus on black
literature or women's literature. So, it looks like I need another
    club.

Would anyone else be interested in a "Thrillseekers Book Club"? One
that read and discussed thought-provoking works of fiction, espionage
novels in international settings, mysteries, science-fiction that
    projects a realistic future, etc?

I do NOT want to run this club. But I'd be more than willing to help
someone ELSE run it, and I'd be willing to host a first meeting at my
home in Marlboro, MA to discuss Crichton's book and put together a list
of books for the rest of the year.

If you're interested, send me mail AND feel free to comment here.
