More than ten years ago, I read a short story by Clifford Simak in _Analog_. It was about an archaeological dig at a Cro-Magnon-type site in (I think) France, and it turned out that one of the diggers was a deathless type who had actually been one of the people who did the paintings they were uncovering. Sounds tacky, but it was really a very haunting story. I'd love to get a copy of that story to add to my collection of Simak stuff. Does anybody remember it/have a copy of the issue of Analog [that I can borrow] that it is in? Thanks! Kristin

Emphatic yes. Read "Way Station" - I think I reviewed it here a long
time ago.
