When and where is the production???? Has it already passed?

Do you have any more information on it? I'm a die-hard G&S fan and I've
    read a few Asimovs.

This Asimov enhanced production should prove to be most entertaining.

| 840.3 | USS Pinafore | SUBWAY::BOWERS | Count Zero Interrupt | Tue Dec 05 1989 11:02 | 16 |
| | It's playing at the Fashion Institute theatre on 27th street. I beieve
    there are 2 more performances (12/8 & 12/9).

I saw the production last Saturday. Rather interesting as they
transplanted the entire plot to a U.S. Navy vessel in 1935. The whole
thing ended up as a cross between "Pinafore" and "Anything Goes." Sir
Joseph Porter, KCB, 1st Lord of the Admiralty becomes Joe Porter, VIP,
Secretary of the Navy, a good ol' boy who drawls out his patter songs
    to a jazz beat:

    		"With mah insider knowledge
    		 Ah was so free
That now Ah get to run
    		 The entahr Navy!"

I can't believe I forgot to check this notes file. I do recall that I
became quite busy that week and probably did no further noting then.
I wouldn't have been able to make those performances anyway (I think).

Thank you for your response, I didn't even remember writing in this
topic, I was just looking at some topic titles and this one caught my
eye (much the way it did the first time) imagine my surprise when I saw
    a reply written by me!

All well, another Gilbert and Sullivan performance has passed me by.
