    hi,
    
    anybody know the author of a kind-of cute fantasy/sci-fi novel from
    at least 10 years back called "the dragon and the george"? it's
    about, as far as i can remember, a scientist, who, in the course of
    his experiments, gets himself teleported into the body of a dragon
    living in some mythic/medieval England, where the human knights who
    fight dragons are known to the dragons as "george's" (after st. george,
    i guess). it's quite well written and a good read. i'd like to try to
    find it, since i seem to have lost my copy.

    p.s. i have a vague feeling the author might have been harry harrison
    or a similar "straight" sci-fi author working in a different genre.

    Yes, TIME STORM is his. He's written a *lot*. His most well-known
    books are probably the Dorsai -- and related -- novels:

    He seems to be pretty variable, I really liked the early Dorsai stuff,
    but I just couldn't get thru The Final Encyclopedia.  Some of his

    Oops! You're right, I left off TACTICS OF MISTAKE. Where does it
    fit in. Hell, I can't remember (it's been about 20 years since I
    read it). Either before or after SOLDIER, ASK NOT.

        Dorsai series.  However 736.7 has a fairly up-to-date list of
	Dickson's works.

    I heard there's a sequel to the Dragon and the George coming out, or
    out already. Anybody heard? I hope this means they'll reissue

Try Barnes and Noble in Nashua if you are around there.  I saw it there a few
days ago (TDATG).

	The sequel is out and available in paperback at my local Waldenbooks.
	Sorry, I didn't catch the title, but read the cover blurb indicating
	it was the sequel. It was a fairly thick one with a black cover.

I believe the sequel is entitled, "The Dragon Knight".

I enjoyed it.  Nevertheless, the first book was better.

I haven't seen this in paperback yet, but it's been out for quite a while.
