I've just finished watching Alien for the second time and Aliens
for the first. There is something which I don't understand:
When the alien in the first movie was cut, it bled molecular acid
which burned holes in the ship's bulkheads. In Aliens when the
things were blasted they should have sprayed that gunk all over
the place and wiped out the structures and the people. Am I wrong?
Did I miss something? Or did they miss something?
Confusedly yours,
PaulC

The Aliens' blood DID burn through people and surrounding objects
(remember how it took out a few of the Marines?). It's just that
the camera didin't stay around long enough to watch the acid eat
through everything.
What intrigues me is, if the Aliens are natural (not genetically
created creatures), and just like everything else living something
is needed to check their environmental growth from overpopulating
their native planet, can you imagine what the creatures that prey upon
the Aliens are like!!!! They might be the main attractions of the
supposed ALIENS III (it better be good, in any event).

Oh, by the way, this should really be in SF Topic 357.
Do the command DIR/TITLE=alien, for future reference.

Yes it does, the thing is that I read 503.* before I read your
note in the alien (200 or something like that...) I suppose had
I been a good boy and tried entering it there instead of entering
my thoughts immediately here (in 503.*) then I wouldn't have entered
them at all. I did read your note (after I had entered mine) and
said oh well....I APOLOGIZE for not deleting it...(I forgot to go
back after reading the sf stuff)...I will delete it now, and I once
again apologize for attempting to enter my comments in this notes
file.
humbly,
