466.0. "Correlations" by BEING::POSTPISCHIL (Always mount a scratch monkey.) Mon Apr 20 1987 21:20
    According to the current _TV Guide_, "Vital Statistics",

         VCRs are now in 42% of U.S. households. People living on the
         East or West Coast, affluent people and "Yuppies,"
         science-fiction readers, real-estate investors and motorcycle
         enthusiasts are most likely to already own one; working women
         and Midwesterners are most likely to be in the market for
         one; and Bible and devotional literature readers, gardeners,
         fishermen and various needlecraft enthusiasts are least
         likely to own one, according to a recent VCR User Report
         compiled by National Demographics & Lifestyles.

| | And if you're a working female sf and knitting fan, then you're likely
to want, already own, and not want a VCR....

| | Exactly. Just as if sixty men can do a piece of work sixty times
    as quickly as on man, and one man can dig a posthole in sixty seconds,
    then sixty men can dig a posthole in one second.
