    Forgive me if this has been noted elsewhere (I only monitor SF.NOTE
    sporadically at the best of times), but I wanted to bring to the
    attention of those interested that there is a monthly sf "reviewzine" 
    available through USENET distribution. 
    
    The magazine, "OtherRealms," is edited by Chuq Von Rospach. It contains
    material concerning science fiction, fantasy, and horror. The main
    concentration is on reviews of books - especially the newer,
    lesser-known works and works of new authors. "OtherRealms" resembles
    more closely the traditional fanzine format than the other net forum
    concerning science fiction, sf-lovers.
    
    I'm also an every-now-and-then contributor to "OtherRealms," he
    says humbly :-).
    
    If you're interested, you can subscribe to "OtherRealms" (as well
    as other net.thingies) by opening the conference ROLL::USENET, going
    to Note #98 and following the instructions therein about how to
    obtain a list of all current net forums, and then how to subscribe
    to those you're interested in getting. I've set this note so you
    can get to ROLL::USENET by using your KP7 or SELECT key.
    
    "OtherRealms," is, as I said, monthly. The next issue - #11 - should
    be out around the end of November.

	For those who weren't able to attend the WorldCon in Brighton this year, you might want to check out a "supplement" - entitled HardHat Fanzine #1 - to the most recent issue of OtherRealms.* It's interesting reading, though many people will probably not agree with Chuq Von Rospach's opinions of the con. *Note: I get a hardcopy version of OR since I'm a frequent contributor. It's my understanding that Chuq has sent - or will send - electronic copies of HHF #1 to OR subscribers. Thus, if you subscribe to the USENET electronic OR, you should eventually see HHF in your mail-bin. As USENET redistribution has only recently been "abled" again and there's a backlog, it may be awhile. I'd give it a week or so. If you haven't seen anything by then, you may want to contact Chuq directly if you're interested in seeing the "supplement." Fred

	I've been getting a hardcopy of OR for the last half-dozen issues as well, but I also still get the electronic version, and so I can confirmed that HardHat #1 comes electronically. --- jerry
