| | re ants:

ants are much older than dinosaurs.

better possibility would be deflecting the thing that slammed into
the earth to extinct the dinosaurs. Then see what happens.

| | Since there is already a Time Travel note, tell me some more about
the Dinosaur Extinction Theory. I've been away.

| | re .3:

the current theory is that some extra-terrestrial object (comet,
asteroid, adric{Dr. Who reference}) slammed into the earth, creating
major upheavals, massive cloud cover, etc. Starting an ice age and
    mass extinctions including the dinosaurs.

ants: I believe there is a piece of amber with an ant (or termite
or fly or wasp, etc) embedded in it. the amber has been dated to
be *very* old, older than the dinosaurs.

in SF Notes - see Note #344 entitled "Harrison's WEST OF EDEN".

| | Thanks, Larry. I'd thought it appeared in here somewhere, but was
    too [something] to look.
