Actually, this should be called denial please.
I just read a posting off of Usenet that said that the postee had heard
on the way to work on Tues that James Doohan had died of a massive heart
attack. I've not heard anything else to that effect, not in the papers, not
on radio. (Haven't been watching TV). I sure hope it was a joke in poor
taste. Has anybody else heard this?

In a later edition of SF-LOVERS-DIGEST, the person who originally posted the "James Doohan has died" message retracted, claiming it was a mistake. He'd misheard an announcement or something. Anyway, it's not true, thank heaven. James Doohan is alive and well! -- Nina | |||||
