260.0. "reports failing ?" by CGOOA::KUHNEN () Mon May 12 1997 12:46
    Hello,

    Performance Solution Data Collector 3.0B
    Performance Solution Performance Advisor 3.0B
    Digital UNIX 3.2G

    I have a script which creates monthly roll up reports for a number of
    nodes. I have NFS mounted the disks on the system and am running the
    advisor from a central node.

    When I run my script it seems certain commands essentially hang. The
    command which hung this last time was:

    advise -p -g -n bisip1 -b 9704010000 -e 9705000000 -er=sys -ro
    /usr/reporting/bisip1_sys_we.9704 -sc=we=00-24

    I started the script on friday and returned this morning with the
    system still processing this command.

    The command worked on the previous system without error and a previous
    command on this same node worked with a different schedule.

    Has anyone seen this behaviour before and have a solution.

    Thanks

    Harry Kuhnen
