                Question:
    
                How does the fuel pump vlotage feeds go into the pump?
                Last nite I had to get a tow home 'cause the pump quit,
                testing proved no +12v to pump.  -12v was available.
                Further testing proved the plug that the fuel pump plugs
                into was no +12v,  so I found another plug with the same
                pinout just adjacent to my bad plug.  So I plug the fuel
                pump into this plug (after disconnecting whatever that plug
                fed) and the pump works,  then the test light I had plugged
                into the bad +12v comes on!
    
    
    
                I wiggle wires,  follow both feeds to no avail,  pull all
    	        the fuses under the tank shell,  and disconnect / reconnect 
    	        all plugs under the tank shell;  but the light remains on.
    
                So,  is the pump fused other than the main 30 amp fuse near
    		the battery?  If so,  where?
                Does the bike engine / running wiring run into the fairing 
    	        tobe terminated,  or is fairing wiring inherent to fairing 
                accessories only?
                Does the bike engine / running wiring run into the headlight 
    		as so many bikes do?
                Is the pump on a switched relay;  if so,  relayed from
    		what?
    
                This problem happened before,  then after the bikes' sat
                awhile, the pump returned to business.  This time,  the
    		bike sat for 3 hrs.   to no avail.
    
                Ideas?
    
                Or if any of you have a 1984 Aspencade service manual, 
                could it be traced back to the power source?

|  |     I'll bet the Goldwing has a "tip-over" relay that is supposed to cut
    off the fuel pump if the bike tips over. And that relay has gone
    flukey. CHeck you circuit diagrams.
