I'm working on a program to change a user's default directory, and
I am a little confused about how SET DEFAULT works in the most general
cases. It looks like it changes the definition of logical name
SYS$DISK in some cases, and uses sys$setddir in others, and sometimes
both. Does anyone know the exact algorithm SET DEFAULT uses?

| If the device specification is being chaned, ie the disk, or usage
of a concealed device such as a rroted directory, the logical SYS$DISK
    is redefined.

SHould you be changing the directory specification, $SETDDIR is
    used.
