I have gotten several mailings from them. They have several types
of riding programs going on - I believe they may have trail rides
too. I never stopped by the place but they do have quite a few
events happening. Each year they also have a benefit horse show
    for something.

| | I took about half a dozen lessons at SOTD three years ago, so I
know a *little* bit about them.

I don't know anything about their personal lives, but if you just
want a greenhorn's point of view of their establishment, feel free
to send me mail and I'll see what I can dredge up out of my memory
    banks.

| | I called there regarding riding lessons and they have a program,
    but only for English riding.

| | The Sign of the Dove Farm has not been in the family for generations.
Boo's folks, Gene and Bella purchased the farm and later sold it
to Boo and her former husband.

The Sign of the Dove was never presented as a church for tax reasons
or any other reason. Boo operated the stable and her former husband
    managed a retreat center.

The conduct of business in the stable was altered because of the
very large insurance premimums, not because of the divorce. Boo
made changes that lessened insurance expenses and her legal exposure.

I've read untrue statements in this notes file about the Sign of
the Dove farm and Hearthstone Stable. Both stables are owned and
operated by professionals who are making a living from the same.
I don't like seeing their business's and reputations injured by
false statements. For many people the only thing they will beleive
about these stables is what they read in this notes file. Your payday
comes every Thursday from DEC, but their payday comes from their
horsemanship (which is considerabe) and their reputations.

| | I know that a few years ago the Sign of the Dove used to have some
very nice shows. What is the status of their operation? Are there
going to be any more shows, etc. held there anytime in the near
    future?

    Thanks for any info!

    Funny you should ask...

    Sign of the Dove Shows-

    May 24 September 19
    June 14 October 4
    July 25 October 25
    August 22

These are schooling shows. I know the first one is held at the
Pony Farm. They typically have a show or two at New Boston. I don't
know if the above dates include those shows or not...
