| | Try a search for the path name in here, and I think you find notes/replies from
last year talking about it. I posted such a reply to an existing note.

    	in the 1st 1500 notes.

I'll let you know when it finishes.

| | My family & I rod eht bike path a couple years ago. It 's a VERY scenic
ride. Along the bay, through some marsh areas. I recall having to cross
a road, but there where traffic lights.
Just remmeber it IS a 'typical' bike path. ie rollerblades, walkers, jogger
and yes, families/kids out there.
We enjoyed ourself and would recommend it as far as bike paths go.

ps I think I replied to a similar question in a trailer/bugger note...

See note 1431 (Biking with Trailers note) replies .54 and beyond. We
enjoy(ed) the path but its busy on weekends during nice weather...like all
I've been on...I haven't spend much time on the Providence end, but the
Bristol/Barrington end is nice (waterviews, Colt State Park).

| 3092.10 | East Bay Bike Path | STRATA::MARCHESSAULT |  | Sun Jun 02 1996 15:26 | 21 |
| | The East Bay Bike Path in Providence is a very beautiful path and
you should check it out. Take 95 to 195 and get off Exit 4 and the
path runs right along that road. I usually start my ride in Warren
and end up in Bristol for lunch and then ride back and it comes out
to about 27 miles. It's longer if you park your car at the first
parking lot just off the Exit but would sugest you pick the 2nd or
3rd parking lot, much safer for your car and probably you. It's
not dangerous, but there have been incidents last year, but that
could happen anywhere and I've been riding the path every year and
haven't come across any problems. I also never ride alone. It rides
along the water at a couple of spots, you pass a nice boat yard in
Barrington, lots of stops signs where the cars cross (stop at every
one of them, cars are not forgiving), you cross the entrance to Colt
State Park (check it out, it's gorgeous), it's flat / no hills which
I like and it's well maintained. The grass is always mowed and the
pavement is taken care of... It gets a 10 in my book...
